Formation of English terminological competence: fundamental informatics and information technologies

The article presents terminological competence as the aim of LSP teaching in the framework of a teachers-student cooperative project on multidisciplinary dictionary development. The focus is on the terminology of Fundamental Informatics and Information Technologies. The article gives the definition of the key concepts such as terminological competence, language for special purposes, the state standard, and curriculum considered in the framework of language education, cognitive terminology, and computer linguistics.
