Geography of Resources

This chapter describes the influences of such global geological processes as plate motion, continental drift, and development of large-scale features of the Earth on formation of the nature of Uzbekistan. The country’s natural resources—including its mineral reserves, groundwater, soil and land, water, and energy resources—are described in the context of their origins and distribution.
