Economic Geography

This chapter discusses the impacts of regional development on the economy of Uzbekistan. The main indicators of economic development are reviewed from a historical perspective. It is shown how the location influences the spatial variation in the development of manufacturing, services, trade, and finance. Brief information is given about industry, agriculture, transportation, and foreign economic relations.
