Effectiveness of cleaning of sunflower oil with filter material made from composition of organic and inorganic fibers

Abstract In this study, the process of purification of sunflower oil per day using a filter material based on cellulose and inorganic fiber basalt fiber obtained from annual plants was studied. Studies have shown that sunflower oil obtained has improved a number of quality indicators. It was observed that the indicators such as transparency, color, acid number of the refined oil improved. Filtration is the process of separating solid particles from a liquid by passing a sufficiently thin and porous (fine-grained) barrier. The liquid passes through the pores, i.e. the capillaries of the filter material, and as the size of the suspended particles is larger than the capillary size, a precipitate forms on the surface of the fabric. Typically, this sediment itself has a major impact on the entire filtration process, as the material accumulates on the surface and serves as a self-filtering material.
