Effect of heat treatment on the structure and phase composition of basalt glasses

The development of all industries around the world requires wear-resistant, heat-resistant, and acid-resistant materials. Therefore, in recent years, much attention has been paid to the localization program, i.e., developing local raw materials to reduce imports from abroad. For this purpose, comprehensive research is being conducted on the development of work in the building materials industry; tasks are being set to find and develop new directions for using local raw materials, expanding the mineral resource potential, and creating modern, highly profitable processing enterprises. This work was studied new manifestations of the Nothern Kutchi basalts (Samarkand region). The work uses such research methods as electron microscopy, radiography, differential thermography, infrared spectroscopy, and devices for determining physical, mechanical, and chemical properties. Based on laboratory tests the effect of heat treatment on the structure and phase composition of basalt glasses obtained from the basalts of the Kutchi deposit was revealed. Conclusions on the processing of these products are given based on research.
