Calculation formulas for the magnitude and angles of delay and advance sliding are derived. It was determined that with an increase in the projection of external forces on the ordinate axis and a decrease in the projection of external forces on the abscissa axis, the zone of delay sliding increases, and the advance sliding zone decreases. It was found that with an increase in leather feed rate, the delay angle decreases, and the advance angle increases.
