The information about the technological system for pretreatment of wool is given in the article. The shortcomings of loosening machines that affect the product have been considered. The design, principle of operation and technological indicators of the ON-6-3 cleaning machine, which is used after the wool washing process, are presented. 6A-12M screw cleaner is recommended to use for the primary treatment of wool. The design, principle of operation, technological indicators of the 6A-12M screw, formulas for determining its cleaning efficiency and labor productivity are given. The principle of operation and design of 6A-12M loosening machines for the manufacture of quality products have been proposed.
