Transforming Moʻo and Moʻolelo

Аннотация

Kauluakalana is a Hawaiian non-profit organization dedicated to restoring relationships between people and place in Kailua, Oʻahu. This chapter will share how Kauluakalana is working to transform not only the land of Kailua back to ʻāina (“that which feeds”) but also transform moʻolelo or narratives about Kailua and its people, from those that perpetuate erasure to those that tell of the active presence of a thriving community intent on cultivating balance and abundance as their ancestors once did.
