Reinforcement of the embankment slopes with volumetric geogrids of the roadbed and the study of their stability

This article discusses the strategic task of the development of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yillari" at the present stage, namely the strengthening of the existing railway roadbed.Calculations were performed to determine the stability coefficient of the embankment slopes, the calculation scheme of the forces acting on each cell of the geogrid when strengthening the embankment slopes with volumetric geogrids.The analysis of changes in the slope stability coefficient during reinforcement with volumetric geogrids, taking into account the holding forces acting on each cell of the geogrids, is carried out.The results of calculating the stability coefficient of embankment slopes in sandy soils with a height of 12 meters showed that when taking into account the holding forces, the Tgeo is provided.With the use of geosynthetic materials, the stability coefficients of the embankment slopes increased to 15% and exceeded the required regulatory value.
