The reaction of N -pentylmorpholine with benzyl chloride resulted in the title compound, C 16 H 26 ClNO, which crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pna 2 1 with Z = 4. In the crystal, the chloride ions are surrounded by four cations, forming layers.
