This article reveals the pedagogical aspects of the development of creative abilities in the process of preparing a future educator for professional activity. The author of the article gives the pedagogical aspects of the development of creative abilities among future educators in the process of preparing them for professional activity related to the use of a number of principles. Among them: the principle of independence in academic work permeates the entire learning system, creating conditions for the active thinking of future educators. Independence and active learning in a pedagogical higher educational institution is becoming an urgent necessity, since the most advanced teaching methods will be ineffective without the leading leitmotif of learning – independence in acquiring knowledge and skills. In this regard, the independent work of future educators acts not only as a factor in his professional development, but also, to a large extent, as an incentive contributing to the development of the creative individuality of each student.
