By now, IoT technology has become one of the fastest-growing technologies. With the help of IoT technology, a vast amount of data is transmitted, received, and processed. The number of cyberattacks targeting IoT technology is increasing, making security one of the most pressing issues. This article analyzes the protocols used in IoT technology. A secure authentication and data exchange system architecture for IoT applications was developed using blockchain technology. The proposed system follows a multi-layered architecture consisting of three layers: the device layer, the management layer, and the storage layer. The authentication algorithm was improved using blockchain-based smart contracts. To ensure secure communication between two entities, the system was enhanced with AES symmetric encryption and an electronic digital signature algorithm based on elliptic curve cryptography.
