Macroelement Composition Of <i>Cichorium Intybus</i> L. Roots In Uzbekistan, Samarkand

Cichorium intybus L. is a medicinal plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Chicory has been used in folk medicine and modern medicine for the treatment of various diseases since ancient times. The root of the plant is mainly used and chicory root contains up to 60% inulin, 10-20% fructose, glycoside mintibin, as well as carotene, vitamins of the group, vitamin C, macro- and microelements, organic acids, tannins, pectin, protein. The chemical composition of the plant has not been determined in the conditions of the Samarkand region. The article presents the results of studying the composition of microelements and their concentration in the root of the plant. The X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF) method was used to determine macroelements. The results showed that chicory contains important macroelements. The composition of 6 macroelements was determined and the amount was analyzed.
