Allayar Dosnazarov: “The Karakalpaks Must Be Given Autonomy, for They Exist”

The purpose of the study is to determine the features of the formation of the Karakalpak Autonomous Region in the system of the policy of national-territorial delimitation of Central Asia. The article examines the issues of formation and development of the Soviet-type Karakalpak statehood in chronological aspect, identifies the historical conditions that contributed to the formation of political leaders of the early XX century in Karakalpakstan. The essence of the managerial activity of one of the brightest political personalities in the history of Karakalpakstan — Allayar Dosnazarov is revealed. The scientific novelty lies in the study of political transformation processes in Karakalpakstan in the context of the policy of national-territorial delimitation of Central Asia. As a result, it is determined that Karakalpakstan, losing its traditional ethnic elements and peculiar specificity, develops a common inter-Soviet socialist system of public administration.
