Agronomic performance of advanced double haploid elite rice ( Oryza sativa ) lines in Estuaire, Gabon
Аннотация
Experiments were conducted during two wet seasons at the Kougouleu. The aim was to evaluate the performance of advanced lines that were earlier selected through yield trials. Ten double haploid lines and five high-yielding check varieties were evaluated for their adaptability under irrigated growth conditions. A RCBD was used with three replications. A total of 10 agromorphological traits were collected and analyzed. The ANOVA showed significant differences (p < 0.005) between years and genotypes. Results found that 30 DAS, the number of tillers showed positive interactions with plant height, grain yield, and harvest index. At 60 DAS, the number of tillers per plant and the harvest index were positively associated with grain yield. Days to 50% heading positively influenced days to 80% maturity. However, there were negative relationships between grain yield and plant height at 30 DAS, 60 DAS, and maturity; the number of tillers at 60 DAS and plant height at 30 DAS, 60 DAS, and maturity; and between the number of tillers at 30 DAS and days at 50% heading, and maturity. Cluster analyses showed two groups and promising lines were selected.
