SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON THE SEMANTICS OF THE GENITIVE CASE

Among morphological categories, the case category is distinguished by its prominent syntactic nature. Alongside the possessive category, it forms a group of syntactic forms characteristic of word combinations, and differs from predicate-based categories that are typical of clauses. In particular, the semantics of the genitive case also stands apart from other case forms due to certain specific features. This article is devoted to analyzing and drawing conclusions from various classifications related to the semantics of the genitive case in the Uzbek language
