Аннотация

In this research, the spontaneous polymerization process of ionomers in the synthesis of a complex-forming ion exchanger based on trimethylolmelamine and thiourea was investigated at various molar ratios within a broad temperature range of 60-100°C. It was determined that a 1:3 ratio of initial monomers is most effective. The synthesized ion exchangers possess complex-forming properties and efficiently bind with Cu2+, Ni2+, Ag+ and other ions. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that the exchange capacity of the obtained ion-exchange polymers depends on the solution pH and the valence of the sorbed ion. Based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and IR spectral data, the chemical mechanism of metal ion binding and its effect on photon occupancy were elucidated. Photon-optical and IR spectral analyses of samples obtained from the interaction of metal ions with the ion exchanger confirmed the formation of Me-N and Me-S bonds in the metal-ion exchanger complexes, which was found to significantly influence the absorption ranges. The synthesized ion exchangers offer potential applications not only in hydrometallurgy, wastewater treatment, and ion exchange technologies but also in various areas of photonics, such as photochemistry, photocatalysis, and the synthesis of photosensitive materials.
