Abstract: In this article the current problems of modern linguistics in Central Asia are multifaceted, reflecting both historical legacies and contemporary challenges. One significant issue is the influence of colonial and post-colonial political developments on indigenous linguistic identities highlights how Muslim cultural reform movements, such as Jadidism, sought to reshape cultural and linguistic practices amidst colonial pressures, indicating ongoing struggles over linguistic autonomy and identity in the region.
