Аннотация

A solar side-pumped nine-core Nd<sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3+</sup> -doped silica fiber laser based on a ring-focus parabolic concentrator with a radius of 60 cm was studied using the Monte Carlo photon tracing (MCPT) method. A Ce:YAG sensitizer was used to increase the solar-to-laser power conversion efficiency. Considering the temperature-dependent losses, the highest laser output power of 41.3 W was found for a nine-core Nd<sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3+</sup>-doped silica fiber with an optimal length of 153.81 m at 23 °C, a solar-to-laser power conversion efficiency of 4.06%, and a slope efficiency of ~6.91%. This slope efficiency is about 70 times the latest experimental achievement obtained without the use of a primary concentrator.
