The integration of high proportions of renewable energy has led to wide-band oscillations and harmonics caused by power electronic devices, which pose a significant threat to power system stability due to their broad frequency range and fast propagation. Traditional detection methods suffer from limitations such as insufficient frequency resolution and poor dynamic adaptability in wide-band oscillation scenarios. This paper proposes a novel method for identifying wide-band harmonic oscillation risks based on an adaptive band-pass filter and the estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques. The center frequency and bandwidth of the ABPF are configured based on Fast Fourier Transform to achieve preliminary extraction and separation of signals in various frequency bands. Then, ESPRIT is used for parameter identification to obtain key modal parameters such as frequency, amplitude, and damping factor. Finally, real-time oscillation risk assessment and harmonic over-limit detection are achieved through dynamic secondary data storage. The method is validated using self-constructed signals, wind power sub-synchronous oscillation cases, and photovoltaic wide-band resonance cases built in MATLAB/Simulink. Results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively identifies wide-band oscillation and harmonic risks, providing theoretical and technical support for online monitoring and active defense in power-electricized system.
