The Role of Gut Microbiome Alterations in the Pathogenesis and Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Аннотация
This preprint discusses the role of gut microbiome alterations in the pathogenesis and management of rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease characterized by persistent synovial inflammation and progressive joint damage. Recent evidence suggests that dysbiosis of the gut microbiota may influence immune regulation, systemic inflammation, and disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis. The manuscript summarizes current knowledge on the interaction between gut microbiota and host immune responses, highlighting potential mechanisms through which microbial imbalance may contribute to disease development and progression. In addition, the preprint outlines emerging therapeutic strategies targeting the gut microbiome, including dietary interventions, probiotics, and microbiota-modulating approaches. This work is intended as a conceptual and narrative overview aimed at supporting further research and improving understanding of microbiome-based perspectives in rheumatoid arthritis.
