This article analyzes the formation of the image of Turkmenistan in Kazakh historiography from a historiographical perspective. The study examines Soviet‑era and post‑independence approaches, national policy, historical representations, and regional interactions. It also evaluates the role and significance of Turkmenistan in Kazakh historical thought on a scholarly basis.
