Methodological Approaches to Fostering Patriotic Feelings in Primary School Students
Аннотация
Fostering patriotic feelings in primary school students is important as a foundational step in cultivating patriotism and responsible citizenship.Purpose of the Study: This research aims to establish a theoretical foundation for and empirically evaluate the efficacy of methodological approaches designed to instill patriotism in primary school students.Research Objectives:1. To formulate and theoretically justify methodological approaches to instilling patriotism in primary school students.2. To design and implement an experiment to assess the efficacy of these approaches. Methods used include: 1. V.M. Khlystov’s “Where does the Motherland begin?” 2. E.V. Fedotova and I.V. Skvortsova’s “Unfinished Sentences”; 3. V.S. Gorbunov’s “Fostering citizenship, patriotism, respect for the rights, freedoms, and duties of an individual”.The study provides a theoretical basis for methods of fostering patriotic feelings in primary school students, and experimentally demonstrates the effectiveness of cultivating patriotic feelings in primary school students through a system of in-class and extracurricular activities. High levels of patriotic feelings were found in 70% of children in the experimental group, compared to 51% of children in the control group. Conclusions and Recommendations: Fostering patriotic feelings in primary school students should be based on a three-component structure, including: a rational component (subject-based study of moral concepts); an emotional component; and an action-behavioral component.Research prospects: development of detailed diagnostic tools for determining the level of patriotic feelings in primary school students. The practical significance of the study lies in the potential use of the results in primary school education.
