The development of media literacy in countries around the world
Аннотация
This article is dedicated to studying the development of media literacy in different countries and its significance in society. The experiences of South Korea, Germany, and the USA are analyzed, highlighting the relationship between media and business, freedom of speech, and the role of a democratic environment. In the case of Uzbekistan, the role of the President’s Virtual and Public Reception Offices in addressing citizens’ issues and promoting media literacy is examined. In Russia, the “National Technology Initiative” and end-to-end digital technologies emerge as important tools for developing the media and information environment. The article demonstrates the importance of media literacy in accessing information, critical thinking, and active social participation of citizens.
