Theoretical Foundations of Developing Students’ Cognitive Activity Through Digital Technologies
Аннотация
The rapid integration of digital technologies into education has fundamentally transformed the ways in which students perceive, process, and construct knowledge. In this context, the development of students’ cognitive activity has become one of the central aims of modern pedagogy. This article examines the theoretical foundations of developing students’ cognitive activity through digital technologies, focusing on the interaction between cognitive processes, educational environment, and digital tools. The study analyzes the pedagogical, psychological, and didactic basis of cognitive activity and explains how digital technologies can stimulate perception, attention, memory, thinking, reflection, and independent learning. Particular attention is paid to the role of interactive platforms, multimedia resources, adaptive learning systems, virtual environments, and feedback-based digital tools in supporting meaningful learning. The article argues that digital technologies become pedagogically effective not merely as technical instruments, but as mediating tools that expand the learner’s intellectual engagement, encourage active knowledge construction, and promote cognitive independence. The results show that the development of cognitive activity in a digital learning environment depends on a combination of methodological design, student-centered interaction, motivation, and the pedagogical competence of the teacher. The article concludes that the theoretical foundations of this process should be understood through the integration of cognitive psychology, constructivist pedagogy, activity theory, and digital didactics.
