Analysis of the change process of the Chimkurgan reservoir basin over the years in Global Watersheds

This study analyzes the state and dynamics of water resources in the Chimqo’rg’on Reservoir based on the Global Watersheds platform. Within the scope of the research, the catchment characteristics of the reservoir, the formation of water flow, changes in hydrological regimes, and the impact of climate factors are comprehensively examined. In addition, the spatial and temporal distribution of water resources is assessed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing data. During the study, data from the Global Watersheds database are used to analyze inflow volumes to the reservoir, precipitation amounts, evaporation processes, and water discharge indicators. Based on the obtained results, scientifically grounded conclusions are developed regarding the rational use of water resources, improving management efficiency, and preventing water scarcity. The findings of the research contribute to the sustainable management of water resources, the preservation of ecological balance, and a deeper understanding of hydrological processes using the Chimqo’rg’on Reservoir as a case study.
