Аннотация

The study has considered the production technology for bitumen-substitute binder materials based on local petroleum and oil & fat production wastes, considering industrial and occupational safety requirements. A formula for safe products has been developed; four pilot batches of bitumen-substitute mixtures using oil sludge, gossypol resin, unslaked lime, and technical sulfur have been produced in laboratory conditions. The origins, physical-chemical properties, and potential hazards of the applied industrial wastes, which adversely affect the environment and employee health, have been examined. A flowchart for waste processing aimed at reducing fire, explosion, and toxic risks during utilization and secondary use has been developed. Physical, physical-chemical, and oxidizing processes in feed processing are considered to help stabilize waste composition and reduce the level of hazardous emissions. The physical and mechanical indices of the obtained bitumen-substitute mixtures were tested in accordance with the requirements of GOST 6617—2021 “Petroleum construction bitumens. Specifications”. As established, the developed materials, as measured by several indices, are comparable to petroleum bitumen and can be recommended for use in insulation, roofing, and anticorrosive coatings, thereby improving the level of industrial safety and reducing the harmful impact on personnel.
