The Use of Didactic Game Technologies in Teaching Chemistry: Enhancing Students’ Cognitive Activity and Learning Motivation

This article examines the pedagogical importance of didactic game technologies in chemistry education and their influence on students’ cognitive activity, academic motivation, and learning effectiveness. The study analyzes various forms of educational games, including quizzes, simulations, role-playing activities, and virtual laboratory tasks used during chemistry lessons. The research findings demonstrate that game-based learning increases students’ interest in chemistry, improves understanding of complex scientific concepts, and enhances classroom participation. Didactic games also contribute to the development of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills among learners. Furthermore, the integration of digital educational technologies creates interactive learning environments that support modern student-centered teaching approaches. The article concludes that didactic game technologies are effective pedagogical tools for improving the quality and efficiency of chemistry education.
