IDENTITY AND CULTURE OF UZBEKISTAN IN COMPARISON WITH WESTERN COUNTRIES
Аннотация
This article examines the identity and culture of Uzbekistan in comparison with Western countries. It explores the historical background, family values, religion, education, and the effects of globalization on both societies. Uzbekistan's identity has been shaped by the Silk Road, Islamic traditions, and post-Soviet national development, while Western countries have largely developed through the influence of democracy, industrialization, and individualism. The study highlights the importance of family, hospitality, and collective values in Uzbek culture, contrasting them with the independence and personal freedom emphasized in Western societies. Furthermore, the thesis discusses how globalization is creating cultural exchange while also challenging traditional identities in both regions. By comparing these cultural systems, the paper demonstrates that despite major differences, Uzbekistan and Western countries share common goals related to modernization, education, and social progress.
