Due to the viral activity in the autumn-winter period, it is important to pay more attention to oral hygiene. It is also important to understand that when the immune system is weakened, the condition of the oral cavity deteriorates. We explore the specific aspects of oral care during viral infections. We also examine the relationship between weakened immunity, viral activity, and dental problems. Educating the public about the correlation between viral infections and dental diseases is crucial. It is necessary to develop and implement educational programs that highlight the importance of this correlation. Goals and objectives. The effect of acute respiratory viral infections on the condition of oral tissues. Materials and methods. Thirty people were examined, of which 15 were in group 1 and 15 were in group 2. Group 1 consisted of patients with acute respiratory viral infections who followed our recommendations. Group 2 consisted of patients with acute respiratory viral infections who did not follow our recommendations and treated themselves. Results. Viral infections have a significant impact on the oral mucosa. Conclusion. Educating patients about proper oral hygiene, the need for regular dental visits, and promptly seeking medical attention when signs of a viral infection appear can significantly reduce the risk of complications.
