THE PHENOMENON OF POLYSEMY IN ARABIC AND THE CHANGE OF WORD MEANINGS

The polysemy of words in the Arabic language and the change in the meaning of words are the result of the historical development of the Arab people. The formation of polysemantic words and the transition of the meaning of a word from one meaning to another were directly influenced by the social environment and worldview, culture and traditions of the Arab people. Other languages are also related to this phenomenon.
