THE ORIGINS AND HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF GAMES AND TOYS
Аннотация
This study examines the origins and historical development of games and toys as socially and culturally conditioned phenomena. The purpose of the research is to identify the main stages of their evolution and to determine their educational and social significance. The methodological framework is based on historical-analytical, comparative-cultural, and interdisciplinary approaches, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of play as a form of human activity. The findings indicate that games originated from practical human needs such as hunting, labor, and social interaction, gradually transforming into complex cultural and pedagogical tools. Toys evolved alongside technological and societal changes, serving as instruments for cognitive, emotional, and physical development. The study also classifies types of children’s games and highlights their role in socialization and personality formation. It is concluded that games and toys represent a fundamental component of human culture, reflecting societal development while contributing to the holistic development of children in both traditional and modern contexts.
