The aim of this study is to isolate cellulose from rice straw, synthesize microcrystalline cellulose and aerogel from it, and investigate their structural properties. Infrared (IR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis were employed as the main research methods. The IR spectral analysis confirmed the preservation of the characteristic functional groups of cellulose in all samples. The crystallinity index was calculated based on the ratio of optical densities and was found to be 0.84 for rice cellulose, 1.048 for microcrystalline cellulose, and 1.714 for the aerogel. The results indicate an increase in the crystallinity degree and structural ordering of cellulose during processing. The study provides a scientific basis for the utilization of rice straw waste as a raw material for producing high-performance cellulose-based materials and demonstrates their potential for industrial applications.
