Fe-based nanoparticle-catalyzed synthesis of tethered quinoline scaffolds: a review
Аннотация
Quinoline and its derivatives have a versatile profile owing to their applications in numerous fields of science. Quinoline tethered scaffolds have been used in various scientific domains. There is a constant demand for the synthesis of useful tethered quinolines. Nanoparticles as catalysts have an eco-friendly nature as compared to traditional catalysts in organic reactions. The development of tethered quinolines via Fe nanoparticle-catalyzed methodology has attracted much more attention from organic and medicinal chemists. The current methodology provides benefits like green and reusable catalysts, high yields, and short reaction times. Since quinoline is a versatile moiety, its development would be beneficial for future prospects. This review specifically focuses on the synthesis of tethered quinolines through the application of reusable Fe-based nanoparticles. Moreover, the current manuscript covers literature from 2015 to 2025 related to Fe nanoparticle-catalyzed synthesis of tethered quinoline molecular hybrids.
