Аннотация

Mangroves, sea grasses, and salt marshes that form blue carbon ecosystems are important in the mitigation of climate change because they have the unsurpassed capacity of sequestraining carbon. Coastal wetlands deposit much more carbon than terrestrial forest, and therefore it is important in the management of carbon across the world. The nature of these ecosystems is however complicated and dynamic making it difficult to accurately monitor carbon stocks within these ecosystems. The conventional field techniques frequently cannot be sufficiently used in massive and high-resolution studies. This article introduces an innovative method of combining multisource remote sensing devices and tools especially unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with hyperspectral sensors to improve the monitoring of blue carbon. This paper provides enhanced spatial and spectral resolutions through the use of UAVs and hyperspectral imaging to monitor the blue carbon ecosystems with high accuracy at small scales.
