Аннотация

This chapter examines the critical intersection of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and wellbeing among mediation and conflict resolution practitioners. Drawing on contemporary research from 2021-2025, it explores how emotional intelligence competencies influence mediator effectiveness, the role of mindfulness and self-awareness in emotional regulation, and the prevalence of burnout, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue among practitioners. The chapter presents evidence-based strategies for enhancing practitioner resilience through structured reflection, self-care practices, and organizational support systems. By integrating insights from psychology, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding literature, this work advocates for an ethics of care approach that prioritizes practitioner wellbeing as essential to sustainable and effective conflict resolution practice.
