On the Cauchy Problem for the Lamé System

Abstract Solvability conditions and Carleman formula for the Cauchy problem for Lamé type systems in ℝ n n ≧ 2, are obtained. In particular, for given displacement and strain on an open connected part of the boundary of the domain of a special type, the formula for the reconstruction of solutions of the Lamé system in the domain is derived.
