Design of Fuzzy PID Controller and Application in Glass Furnace

In this paper, the structure and feature of fuzzy logic controllers are described first, then a new type of the fuzzy PID(proportional- integral- derivative) controller is presented. The fuzzyPID controller has the simplest structure, but it has the nonlinear properties, which provide the fuzzy PID control system with a surperior performance over the conventional PID control system. The fuzzy PID controller is used in the temperture control of the glass furnace. The online runing results show that this projcet is rational and effective.
