Elastic constants of single crystalline and polycrystalline cadmium—magnesium alloys

For disordered cadmium—magnesium alloys containing up to 14 at% Mg the elastic parameters of polycrystals and single crystals at room temperature are reported. The moduli E and G as well as the constants Cij of the single crystals show a marked decrease with increasing magnesium content. The connection between texture and modulus E of polycrystals is pointed out. Für ungeordnete Kadmium—Magnesium-Legierungen bis 14 At% Mg werden die elastischen Kennwerte von Poly- und Einkristallen bei Raumtemperatur mitgeteilt. Sowohl der E- und G-Modul als auch die Konstanten Cij der Einkristalle nehmen mit steigendem Magnesiumgehalt in ausgeprägter Weise ab. Es wird auf den Zusammenhang zwischen Textur und E-Modul des Polykristalls hingewiesen.
