ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS OF USING ICT IN VOCABULARY INSTRUCTION
Аннотация
This article examines the advantages and limitations of using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in vocabulary instruction. In modern education, ICT tools such as language-learning applications, multimedia resources, online platforms, and digital games have become essential components of language teaching. These technologies create interactive and learner-centered environments that enhance vocabulary acquisition, retention, and practical application. The article discusses the positive effects of ICT on student motivation, autonomous learning, pronunciation, and contextual understanding of vocabulary. At the same time, it highlights several limitations, including technical difficulties, unequal access to technology, lack of teacher training, and overreliance on digital tools. The study concludes that ICT can significantly improve vocabulary learning when integrated effectively with traditional teaching methods.
