Аннотация

It is known that in arid and hot climatic conditions, concrete laid under high temperatures and low humidity rapidly loses moisture, which slows down or completely halts the hydration of cement. As a result, the concrete fails to achieve the specified strength. To mitigate or eliminate the negative impact of an arid and hot climate on the concrete structure, it is recommended to cure the freshly laid concrete properly. Considering the excessive material consumption and labour intensity of existing curing methods, the use of film-forming materials is proposed. This article compares the quality indicators of imported film-forming materials with those of a composition developed from domestic raw materials. Six concrete samples cured with an imported product and with the new composition were compared over 72 hours in terms of water loss and after 7 days in terms of compressive strength.
