Irrigation of agricultural crops with weakly mineralized groundwater under conditions of water scarcity
Аннотация
The article presents the results of research carried out in 2022– 2024 on the irrigation of agricultural crops under conditions of water scarcity using ecologically safe groundwater with a normal salinity level. The limited field moisture capacity of the soil was determined by the Rozov method, the level of groundwater mineralization was measured every 10 days with a Progress-2 conductometer, and the soil salinity before and after irrigation was determined with a Progress-1 conductometer. According to the results, the annual evaporation of moisture from the soil was 528.7 mm in 2022, 501.5 mm in 2023 and 521.4 mm in 2024, and the precipitation was 324.4 mm, 340.1 mm and 301 mm respectively. When crops were irrigated with groundwater at a depth of 1.0 m, the water consumption through the irrigation network amounted to 1094 m 3 /ha and the amount of salts entering the field with the water was 8.1 t/ha. At a groundwater level of 2.0 m, the water flow through the irrigation network was 2302 m 3 /ha and the amount of salts entering the field with the water was 3.3 t/ha. The use of weakly mineralized groundwater for the irrigation of crops under conditions of water scarcity makes it possible to ensure environmental safety.
