An expression is obtained for the coefficient of heat conductivity of a thin dielectric plate at low temperatures, taking into account wave diffraction by a rough surface. Specific cases due to different relationships between the characteristic dimensions of the roughness, the temperature wavelength, the phonon mean free path relative to bulk collisions, and the specimen thickness are examined. The equations obtained differ substantially from those already known which are based on introducing a coefficient of diffuseness.
