A study is made of the temperature dependence of the unsteady creep of silver single crystals in the 1.5−300 °K temperature range. The definitive role of quantum fluctuations in the process of silver creep at temperatures of up to 20 °K and of thermal fluctuations at higher temperatures is demonstrated. The effect of strain-hardening on low-temperature creep is established.
