Quasiclassical quantization of self-localized vibrations of a one-dimensional anharmonic chain is performed. The quasiclassical energy spectrum is compared to the energy of the bound states of a large number of interacting phonons, calculated in a self-consistent field approximation. It is shown that this bound phonon state is a quantum analog of the self-localized vibration of an anharmonic chain. Fluctuations in the total number of quasiparticles in the bound state are discussed.
