Annotatsiya

Sodium–ammonia solutions with various sodium concentrations were examined thermographically over the 77−200°K temperature range. The results indicate a heterogeneous state of frozen sodium–ammonia solutions. An analysis of the conditions under which these solutions are quenched confirms the feasibility of precipitating a structurally free phase richer in metal. The presence of such a metallized phase determines the anomalous physical properties of metal–ammonia solid solutions.
