Annotatsiya
A study was made of the distinctive features of the Vegard–Kaplan transition in the spectral region from 3000 to 1700 Å in pure crystalline nitrogen and in solutions with inert elements. Relations are obtained for the dependence of the concentration quenching of luminescence from high-lying vibrational levels and a mechanism of vibrational relaxation is proposed. An analysis is made of the temperature and concentration effects as well as the magnitude of the matrix displacement. A possible mechanism for the occurrence of a triplet structure of vibronic bands is discussed.
