Experimental solidification curves of hydrogen isotopes (<i>e</i>H2, <i>n</i>H2, <i>e</i>D2)

The solidification curves of hydrogen of equilibrium and normal ortho-para composition and deuterium of equilibrium composition were measured from the vapor–liquid–crystal triple point up to pressures of ∼ 60 atm. On the solidification curves investigated singularities were found which can be explained by the appearance of a new phase transition in solid hydrogen isotopes. The vapor–liquid–crystal triple point temperatures are measured for all the isotopes investigated. The phase diagram of solid hydrogen is discussed.
