Annotatsiya
The effect of a weak longitudinal magnetic field on the characteristics of the paramagnetic effect (PME) in a current-carrying cylinder has been experimentally investigated for those fields for which the magnitude of the PME oscillations as the current is varied. A model for the PME whose magnitude oscillates as the current varied is proposed on the basis of the London model for the intermediate state of a current-carrying cylinder. The dependence of the period of the London structure on the current strength is computed from the experimental data within the framework of this model.
