Abstract With the help of the binary collision model the glancing scattering of 10 MeV protons incident at the (100) and (110) surfaces of a tungsten crystal is investigated. The angular distribution and the dependence of the angular spread of the reflected protons on the incidence angle and crystal temperature are calculated.
